The Politicians may be the criminals

It is difficult to find the words that adequately and appropriately describe and define the nonsensical statements made and actions taken by many of the left-wing liberals both in elected positions and in the general public. When did common sense and a sense of responsibility become obsolete? 

I just read an article in which it disclosed that the New Your City Council is suing the New York City Chief of Police because the police department has granted ICE access to the illegal immigrants that have been arrested and are incarcerated at Rikers Island. Why is this an issue? Because NYC is deemed to be a “sanctuary city” which apparently means you can wreak havoc and commit crimes and yet be protected from being shipping back to where you came from. 

The first question that comes to mind is why on earth do you want these people here? The next is why do you protect people that have committed all types of crimes and will likely continue to do so once they’re back on the streets of NYC? Our federal government is prepared to avoid further injury and harm to the people of NYC by removing the menace not just from the streets but from our country. I say let them take them and ship them far away. 

While I may not live or even enter NYC, I suspect that some of my tax dollars are being spent to house, feed and care for these thugs. I also suspect more of my tax dollars are paying the legal expenses that allow the courts to exist in which this frivolous lawsuit is being processed. I know they are at least paying the salary of the NYS District Attorney who is likely involved in this somehow given her liberal stance on everything else.

If finding all of this appalling when you're hundreds of miles away from NYC, let’s bring this closer to you. Let’s look at what the mayor and the police chief of Rochester NY have done. Somewhere in the crime riddled city, the agents of ICE were conducting a traffic stop when they discovered the vehicle was filled with illegal immigrants and at some point, the agent’s safety became an issue. When these agents called for help, 10 Rochester Police Officers responded and assisted them. Whatever the threat was got resolved without any injuries to anyone. Hat’s off to everyone involved.

Except the mayor and the police chief. They played the “sanctuary city” card and publicly chastised and reprimanded the responding officers. 

Apparently, this is the degraded level that these elected officials have now fallen to….that they will be intentional in compromising those that serve to protect, who place their very lives in danger daily to do a job they are proud to do.

I’m beginning to think that the real criminals are the elected liberal politicians. Maybe we can discover a way to ship them someplace where they can rub elbows with the street criminals they so vigorously protect.
